Outfit of the Day

Today I turned 18 ! Feels so cool to finally be an adult ! :) My mom and I went to visit a college also which I liked a lot . This outfit is layered a lot because I knew we would be walking in very cold weather . The many layers definitely helped keep me warm . This outfit has a sort of weary traveler feel to it with a bit of glitz with my bronze eyeshadow makeup ( Revlon ColorStay ) and statement necklace from Macys. New Years Nails

I decided to paint my nails for New Year's Eve . The purple glitter infused with green represents the old experiences and lessons learned from the past year and the baby pink ( Bikeride by Essie ) represents a fresh new start . Happy New Year to all of my wonderful followers :)

Makeup Review : Revlon ColorStay Quad in Adventerous

 

 

 

So, today I am doing my very first product review for you all. This one will be of the new Revlon ColorStay Quad in Adventerous. 

 

Here are some swatches of all of the colors.

 

This is what the quad looks like when it is opened up. I absolutely love the colors! They are perfect for the holidays, fall, and winter. You can wear this look in a very casual way or in a very formal way.

I love using the sort of white bright pale shade in the top left as a highlight near my upper brow bone . This can add a bit of brightness to any sort of typical dark look. For the green eyeshadow I will either put a bit of it over the bronze eyeshadow to mix the two for some nice autumn/winter glitz or I will use it instead for a soft grassy nature inspired day look. For the matte brown in the bottom right



 



 

The back of this quad of course shows a step by step tutorial on how to use the eyeshadows. I do like the way Revlon did this look but I also personally enjoy trying out different ways to put these eyeshadows together.

 

Overall, I would give this quad a great review. I absolutely love Revlon, especially their eyeshadow quads. I honestly think that the quality of Revlon products like these could even be compared to some more high end makeup companies such as MAC and NARS.

Sunday's Outfit

This outfit is actually from Sunday . Its pretty simple. The dress is new from TJ Maxx. Sorry if you cant see it very well. I seem to have misplaced my camera so these pictures were taken with my phone. My gladiator sandals have been worn so much! I LOVE them! They go with literally everything!I would say this outfit is dark with a bohemian with a sort of beachy touch. Lol also if u look behind my head you can see the beautiful Harry Styles who is on my new One Direction poster. ;)

A few weeks ago, my mom took me to our local MAC counter at our mall. She has a friend who works there. She did an amazing job on my makeup and I even used some of it when I went to my prom * cough * upcoming post about that * cough *

Products worn -
MAC Mineralize SatinFinish SPF 15 Foundation

Paintpot in " Groundwork "

As you can see she did a very simple but gorgeous bronze look with a touch of dark blue on my lash line. I dont remember the name of the liner she used. The foundation is perfect for summer. It is very light weight and gives just enough coverage while giving off a nice warm but natural glow.I am in the shade - NC45. The eyeshadow in " Woodwinked " is a beautiful bronze color that is great for summer . This was my first paint pot and I must say I am in love with the quality and color of this one in particular! Works great as an eyeshadow primer and also as a nice natural brown cream eyeshadow. I highly recommend all of the products used.

Style Inspiration : Nicki Minaj !

I'm surprised I haven't done a lot of posts like this because I love doing them. I love lots of celebs and their styles! Nicki Minaj is definitely one of them! Not only is she an amazing icon when it comes to music but also when it comes to fashion. Her style is so crazy and fun! I love how she isn't afraid to experiment and just express herself no matter what!

Even though Perez Hilton put this in his Worst Dressed Celebs of the Week list, I still think it is an amazing outfit! Nicki has made it very obvious that her style is very Harajuku inspired. That is very apparent in this outfit, through the bright colors and cute skirt with a tutu underneath. I love Asian and Harajuku inspired fashion . I would totally wear both the tights and beret, very cute and despite the bright colors and pattern would be quite wearable. 

This outfit overall is very daring but definitely works at the even Nicki Minaj is at.  In short, a total fashion win! :)
