Trend Alert! : Good old Denim

So, this has to be one of if not the most favorite trend of mine for spring. Denim is very comfortable and easy to wear. Also, there are many places where denim can be easily purchase at great prices. In this post I will show you some great denim clothing that can be purchase at wonderful stores such as Forever21  and Jcpenney. These pieces of clothing are also quite inexpensive.

First is this cute denim vest from Forever21 -

 

This denim vest definitely adds to the outfit's simple yet sophisticated look.  It is very chic and fits the appears to fit the model very well. It can be purchased for just $17.80.

 

 These denim shorts are from Jcpenney, Olsenboye. They are dark wash which is common and the probably the easiest to wear. This wash is also very flexible and goes with just about anything. The shorts also come with a nice beat with a peace sing buckle. The peace sign buckle is great if you want to follow the rising bohemian trend. The price is just $24.99.

This gorgeous denim floral print purse is from Kohls. ELLE has given this purse a look that is very polished and upscale, while the denim still gives it that casual feel. It is on sale for $62.30.

Hey guys! Right now I am gonna talk about a fall trend that I really like, and that is animal prints. I do not know if the print these celebs are wearing is leopard or cheetah print ;(. I am seeing a lot of celebrities wearing animal print. I love how you can either wear animal print in a really crazy way or a really casual way.I really like the way Katy Perry is wearing animal print. The dress really suits her. Although I probably would wear shoes that are a different color than the dress. As always she looks gorgeous. I will say that when wearing something like a leopard print jacket, you must keep the rest of your outfit simple. If not the outfit will simply look overdone. I personally do not own much animal print. Yet, I still love it and think it is a really fun print to wear. I always feel like a rock star when I wear my purple zebra hoodie. So, no matter how you wear it just have fun!

OMG!  So cool! First Katy now Rihanna! I am not sure who's hair looks the coolest but I love it when celebs go crazy like this! One of these days I am like totally gonna go all out and dye my hair blonde! Of unfortunately I am not Tavi Gevinson or Lady Gaga or anyone like that( yet... ;) So, the dying of my hair will have to wait till I am over 18 and all that stuff. Teen Vogue described their hair colors as unorthodox, which is defined as unusual or unconventional. It's definitely unusual. As I have said before I love quirky stuff like this! The super high heels, bright colored hair, dresses with tutus! It is the "weird" and crazy stuff like this that makes fashion, well fashion! I already love both Katy and Rihanna! They are amazing artists and have great styles. This really shows how fearless both Katy and Rihanna are not only fashion wise, but how confident they are as artists.

My take on Project Runway - Episode 9

OMG! This episode was crazy! First I must say that I am super happy that Mondo won this challenge! He totally deserved it! He is always so creative and cool with his designs! The couture design is so cool! I especially love the hate he made to go with the dress. Above is a picture of  his winning designs. The challenge was to create a look that would be featured in a Loreal Paris ad. The winner would not only have their look featured in a Loreal Paris ad but he or she would also receive 20,000 dollars! Then there was a twist( as always ;) They had to make a second wearable look to go with  couture design. This was a very tough challenge for Valerie. She was so close to leaving , and I still think she deserved to leave. Ivy unfortunately had to go home. She is a good seamstress but I do not believe that she is very creative. Yet, she is still a very good designer. This show is so insane. There are times when I hate it and times when I love it, as I have said before. All in all this episode was very dramatic yet stayed true to what Project Runway is all about. The episode ended with a cliffhanger to the next episode. Tim brought in some guests and everyone freaked out! So, I will definitely be tuning in to the next episode.

Episode 9 Sneak Peek!

Just so you know I do not use bad language even though Mondo does in the beginning. This season has been so dramatic! I am really not liking Michael Costello, and was so sad when AJ had to go home:(. The list goes on and on! There are times when I hate it but still cant stop watching! So want to see what happens! The judges are really mean sometimes so I would cry too! I actually do not watch the episode when it premieres. I watch it on the website(link) the day after, which is Friday. I do this simply because of school. I have a lot more time to sit down and watch the episode on a Friday night. I will be doing another post after the episode telling you what I thought.

Lady Gaga's Amazing VMA Outfit

Check out what Lady Gaga wore to the VMAs! What comes to my mind when I see this is White Witch( cause of the hair)/ Bloody Mary. The whole meat thing was super gross but really cool and creative. What I love about Lady Gaga's outfits is that she never just gets dressed. Her outfits always have a story and make you think. What Lady Gaga wears is art. That is what fashion is all about, not simply wearing clothes but wearing art.

Is this bag cute or what? I just knew I had to blog about it as soon as I saw the purse and noticed how cute it it is.I love stuff that is all dolly( is that even a word?). This adorable purse is included in Teen Vogue's Fall Fashion Guide.It is sold at Charlotte Russe. So, I can actually buy it, because there is a Charlotte Russe at my local mall. The price is great too, under 30 dollars. It is a really flexible color too. This bag is great for not just fall but winter too.

Hey guys sorry I haven't updated in so long. I have been busy with school and such. I am actually working on a very long post about Teen Vogue's Fall Trends. It will be a commentary on the trends. If you would like to take a sneak peak at the trends and designs I will be commenting on click on the link above.That post could take a while to finish. I will still be blogging while working on that post.

Yet, the subject of this post is really a little something I found on juicystar07's vlog. Juicystar07( aka Blair Fowler) is an awesome YouTube vlogger. I highly recommend her vlog for anyone who loves fashion and/or makeup. This video is completely hers and not mine, quick disclaimer there. Victorious Victoria

I love this girl! She is such a role model and I'm so excited that she is the cover girl for Teen Vogue's September Issue. This video takes you behind the scenes of the photo shoot and shows her talking about what it's like to be Teen Vogue's new cover girl and her personal style.

She was also voted best dressed for the Teen Choice Awards 2010 by Seventeen magazine. I personally love what she wore, especially the shoes. It's not too low at the top and has a nice length too.
